Introducing another innovation in myopia control
Myopia (short-sightedness) is the term used for individuals who have difficulty seeing in the distance. It can happen at any age but we are now seeing more children becoming myopic than in the past.

It is known that myopia at a young age is very likely to result in greater myopia as the child grows. This increase in myopia can lead to greater risks of ocular complications such as glaucoma and retinal detachments.

There is evidence to show myopia is increasing in the population at large with suggestions of 50% of the worlds population becoming myopic by 2050, compared to 30% in the early 2010's.

MiSight 1 day daily disposable lenses is one of the ways to control myopia. This soft contact lens is suitable for children and we take a pro-active approach to help provide a successful fitting. Once fitted the lenses have to be worn regularly. The studies performed with the MiSight 1 day lens have shown reduced myopia progression in those wearing the lens for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. It is not a lens to wear sporadically.

More information on MiSight 1 day lenses can be found on this dedicated webpage.
