The practice is located in North Street alongside the main banks, and is easily accessible on the ground floor for disabled and wheelchair bound people. |
The consulting room now incorporates innovative technology including a computerised LCD test chart to record vision accurately and has acquired a state of the art OCT for storing digital images of the back of the eye – the retina. Jay Patel BSc(Hons) PgDip MCOptom
Qualified in September 2000 following 3 years at City University studying Optometry and 1 year Pre-registration training in both independent practice and at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Jay has also completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Optometry at City University in April 2011.
Until June 2013 Jay was a Part Time Aphakic Optometrist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
In June 2017 Jay gained his Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) certification and has been providing MECS examinations since November 2019.

Parking:
Blue badge holders can park in front of the practice for ease of access. Parking is available in front of the practice for 30 mins only but please check the restrictions. Short term parking is available at Northgate End car park which is a 3 minute walk from the practice. The Waitrose car park is also very close. Simply park your car, walk through Florence Walk, turn left and we are the second building on the left. If you do park in Waitrose a store purchase is required and there is a maximum stay limit. |
